About Penta

Sonja Winckelmann Thomsen and Sara Vilardo started developing the game in 2023 from a much older idea called ‘rituals’. It originates from our work in the performance world and aims to give deeper experiences but in a board game frame.

We have had open game experiences with us as hosts from March 2024, Copenhagen and later as part of the Metropolis Performing Landscapes May 2024. We have also had private tests for the more dinner-party experience. Both with the same content, but in order to try different situations.

With each experience we will refine our game but you will get a sensorial and transformative experience no matter where in the process we are.

The game is aimed for young people (15+) and adults. There can be maximum 15 participants and it takes about 90 minutes. We normally provide a drink and a snack.

If you have a group of interested people, feel free to contacts us, because we might feel like using you as a test group until PENTA is ready. The game is mostly for a group that has superficial or little knowledge of each other, so very close friends or family members would not be recommended.

The team:
Sonja Winckelmann Thomsen: Gamedesigner/dramaturg and writer
Sara Vilardo: Theatre maker and performer
Sigrid Astrup: Visual artist and scenographer
Sigrid C. Moses-Jacobsen: Scents-artist and performer

PENTA and its concept is invented by Sonja Winckelmann Thomsen and Sara Vilardo and must not be copied commercially without asking us.
